Beginning Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 9 a.m. and lasting until around 6 p.m. on Friday, March 24, South Front Street between Beale Street and Peabody Placewill be completely closed to through traffic to allow a contractor to dismantle the tower crane previously used for the DMC Mobility Center Project.
Beale Street between South Front Street and South Main Street will remain closed. This closure on Beale Street will remain in effect until 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2023.
Motorists who usually use these sections of Beale Street and South Front Street are advised to use an alternate route during this closure. Expect delays.
The signed detour route will use Peabody Place, South Main Street, and Dr. M.L.K., Jr. Avenue.
